Lavender Lane exists because of a question Dr. Silky Jain kept asking: why should a child spend more time in a hospital than they need to? As a paediatric haemato-oncologist, she saw children with cancer and blood disorders spending days admitted for treatments that could be delivered in hours, in spaces designed for adults, by systems that treated childhood as an afterthought. So she built the alternative.
Dr. Jain trained at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, one of India's premier medical institutions, followed by a fellowship in Paediatric Haematology-Oncology at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre. She then trained at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, one of the world's leading children's hospitals, bringing global standards of paediatric blood and cancer care back home.
Her clinical expertise spans childhood leukaemias and lymphomas, bone marrow transplant, thalassaemia and benign blood disorders, immunodeficiency, solid tumours and long-term survivorship care. Over more than 15 years of practice, she has walked with hundreds of families through the hardest chapters of their lives, and her care philosophy reflects it: honest conversations, family-centred decisions, and treatment plans that protect childhood, not just treat disease.
Alongside Lavender Lane, she is a Senior Consultant at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Sector 128, Noida, and Prima Care Hospital, Noida.
At Lavender Lane, Dr. Jain leads the clinical vision of the centre and personally consults on paediatric haematology, oncology and bone marrow transplant. Less time in hospitals. More time being kids. That is the promise she built this place to keep.
